May is the main season for industrial furniture and woodworking exhibitions in Germany. Repeating every 2 years, it was again time for the TECHTEXTIL, the INTERZUM and the LIGNA exhibition. Therefor the Steinert Team visited each of them, in order to get an update of new developments as well as support customers on fair grounds of our principles.
The TECHTEXTIL in Frankfurt, Germany is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens showing the full range of potential uses of textile technologies. International exhibitors presented their textile innovations to trade visitors every second year. Which means the next fair will be from 14 to 17 May, 2019. TECHTEXTIL is held in parallel with TEXPROCESS the leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials.
Some of the highlights for Steinert Technology were developments of the EVA Hotmelt Film Laminations as well as atomization of lamination processes. It seemed manual lamination as we still know it in some parts of Southeast Asia will face its changing soon to a faster, more accurate and a higher grade of quality processing by machinery. More details you can read in our next Steinert Newsletter in July.
Under the Slogan “The world meets in Cologne” this year’s INTERZUM in cologne offered once again great exhibition for everybody in the furniture and interior design industry. This is where the most important business is conducted and momentum for the global furniture supply industry is created. Decision makers, opinion leaders and disseminators from all over the world keep up with the innovations in the industry. As well as the TECHTEXTIL, the INTERZUM in Cologne will appear in May 2019 again.
Interesting on this exhibition for Steinert Technology was especially the mattress and upholstery section and the innovative foam glue bonding process compared to the conservative contact glue process. Additionally, the commonly known solid wood and veneer exhibitors had their momentum with interesting products such as balanced foils, veneer in rolls as well as glue threats. Also, here Steinert will provide more detailed information about each process and further highlights from the INTERZUM fair in the next Steinert newsletter edition.
The LIGNA in Hannover, Germany with the simple title “Making more out of wood” is every second year the centre of attention for the world-wide woodworking industry. With over 129.000 sqm the LIGNA fair features technology for the entire wood value chain – from harvesting machinery to industrial processing and production plant and equipment. LIGNA stands out from competing shows in that it attracts an international audience of top-level decision makers and professionals from all key sectors of the wood industry.
Also, here the Steinert team would like to highlight that in this year’s fair particularly the spray coating and polishing segment faced a significant growth compared to the years before. It was clear to see automatic coating reaches more attention internationally and might be one of the new trends especially for Southeast Asia.
More details about the coating trend on the LIGNA fair and further developments in the woodworking but also textile and interior design industry we will present in our Steinert July ’17 Issue.
